Thin appearance with four-finger soapy/foam head that's straw colored. Brew is deep orange with slight red/brown. Foggy. No lacing.
Papery, grassy, dirty, earthy, wet cardboard. Slight pine and cat piss. Not bad, but not memorable.
Wet, heavy rose flavors. Green, open, lots of mixed flavors. Kinda unblended and unrefined. Funky horsey flavors mix with wet pine. Awkward dry bitterness is lost in the mix. Carbonation is nearly perfect, but is lost in an (infected?) sweetness. May end up turning into an ok Bwine. But, it's listed fresh as an DIPA...
This is not a beer I can recommend @ $14/750ml. I really wanted to fall in love, but am just not sure I tried it at it's best??? Not sure I'll ever know... Not sure if it's just me, but the label says "best aged at cellar tempature for at least one year", it's an IPA. Why is it not best fresh??? That's minus 50 DKP. Very near drainpour.
