A crisp California Common Lager which is amber in color, with an assertive hop character created by the Northern Brewer and Cascade hops. It's unique estery flavors comes from a lager yeast fermentation at ale temperatures.

This one is Blackfoot's signature brew. Nice hoppy aroma and taste. Dry afterbite. My favorite brew of Montana microbreweries. Blackfoot is the first certified organic brewery in Montana. "Real good beer by real good people" is their motto -- and it's accurate. Very small capacity until summer 2008 - expansion under construction. All of their beers are very good, but Steamboat is the best of the lot.

More like a darker pale ale, this lager is smooth and flavorful. A nice balance of malt flavors, slightly bitter, and a real nice hoppy after taste. This beer is full in body and satisfying in drinkability. A little darker than most lagers, but well worth it! Highly recomended if you can find it.
