Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a deep amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a ton of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is light overall consisting predominantly of a bready smell mixed with some toasted and light caramel aromas. Along with these aromas comes some notes of a light herbal smell.
Taste – The taste being with a nice clean toasted bready flavor that has a decent showing of caramel sweetness and a little bit of citrus. The citrus gets a bit stronger as the taste advances with the ligher bready taste getting a bit stronger as well as the taste moves even further along. At the end the citrus hop is joined by a little bit of earth and herb, and with the rest of the flavor transitions, it leaves one with a clean and decently bready, but nicely hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium to slightly thinner in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is high. For the mix of flavors the feel is very nice and keeps it easy drinking, but very flavorful.
Overall – This is a rather easy drinking and tasty pale ale. It reminds me a bit of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, with a slightly smoother taste.
