Taster at SHINE. Murky violet pour, bubbly head. Aroma is sweet and tart., berries Big fruity, berry, jam flavors, with an adequate pucker factor, a bit dry.

a tasty and well made gose here, subtle in the right ways, not at all over fruited. done with blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries, the fruit blends together well, and this is dry and refreshing with a very natural fruit profile. i did not know there guys were making sour beer at all, but this is very good. hazy soft pink color from the fruit, a little thicker than expected, but fizzy and high headed from the tap and lively enough to not look too dense. the aroma and flavor are the same, tangy lactic character from the souring, a slightly nutty undertone, sharp raspberry, jammy blackberry, and tannic blueberry, all authentic and cohesive. the saltiness seems low to me, just enough to dry out the finish, but its far from a defining characteristic here. good tartness but not overly sour, its perfect with the fruit, which in part accentuates it and in part balances it. a pretty quick finish, a little more body than i need, very fresh flavors, and some appreciable wheat malt underneath it all. nicely done on the souring, the fruit additions, and the overall quality. i was impressed with my visit here, i dont think these guys get enough attention for their beers, ive liked all ive had from them!
