Visually, this ESB shows an orange-gold body capped by a thick, rocky head that breaks off into heavy clusters of lace. Sluggish CO2 translates into a full, creamy body.
But contrary to its name, Airway's ESB steers a wide berth away from traditional styling with a peculiar aroma emulating cream soda and marshmallow. The taste has similar cream soda properties with notes of sassafras. A fine beer overall, though something of an anomaly.
