The colour is deep yellow (7 EBC), the four finger firm head is airy and off-white. It sinks very slowly leaving some lacing. The liquid got some chill haze.
The smell is sweet with some alcohol. Hops, lots of it. Bitter oranges, grape fruit, lemon, pine and resin. Hints of dough and Italian herbs. It is a bit too sweet and heavy for the style.
The taste is hoppy, too. The clean citric bitterness is a bit stronger than medium. Citric fruits, juice and peels. Some sweet dough and bitter herbs. The aftertaste is clean and quite bitter. Notes of grape fruit and cereals. The finish is bitter and sweet with a lingering bitter dryness.
The carbonation is strong with lots of small fresh bubbles. The liquid is semi-smooth.
A pleasant hoppy lager with a fresh feel. The bitterness seems to last forever.
