The appearance was a light brown with some amber hues flowing along the sides of the glass. Small cap of a little white semi-foamy head. Not much lace. The aroma had some dark fruits, roasted malts, light caramel, touch of tobacco, and a little bit of earthiness. The flavor took the previously mentioned aromas and added in some herbal sweetness. Aftertaste was malty and herbal with a nice clean malty sort of finish. The palate was about medium on the body with a decent sessionability despite it’s ABV. Carbonation was nice and low fitting the style pretty nice. Overall, it’s a pretty nice scotch ale worthy of coming back to.
