It is sour! Probably the most orange juice tasting beer I’ve enjoyed. It is double dry hopped so the hoppy bitterness is both enjoyed and to be expected. Basically a super tart orange juice at 7% abv. I could have this with breakfast it’s so good.

12oz can from LambicPentameter (thanks!). No canning date. Served in an oversized Bruery snifter. Enjoyed 5/24/18.
Pours a hazy, opaque pale straw with about a three quarter finger cap of loose white froth. Very little retention of any kind.
Smells funky and a little citrusy. Sour pale grain, lemon, guava and wet wood.
A crazy complex mesh of flavor. Tart wheat and citrus hops collide. Sour lemon, guava, lime, slight barrel funk, faint toast, a little melon and some oak.
Fairly loose body with light carbonation. Gently sour lemon, wet wood and some vague tropical fruit play in the aftertaste.
Odd Side has done a good job blending hops and sour here. Tangy Dank Juice straddles the line between styles to create a tasty and unique brew that is well worth at least a try.

not too sour, still really hoppy, even moderately woody and wild tasting, a petty unique blend of beers, served well by a high end draft system and the first beer i have had from these guys in awhile. always ambitious and interesting from odd side! so many of these are kettle soured in a simple lacto way, and then dry hopped with jucy new school varietals to oblivion, and all of those are starting to taste a bit samey to me, but this one is decidedly different in both respects. its not just dry hops for one, there is some real bitterness here too, and as fresh and aromatic and tropical and citrusy as it is, its also pretty bold in the finish, bitey even, and i have missed that in this style before. the sour itself is also different, the oak aged element adds a lot, and its not too forward in the blend. there is a slight wild funkiness here and a clean bacterial souring, but its way more complex than the classic berliner type base for these, and for how much is going on, its all really compatible. sour orange and white wine and pine lingers at the end with the acidity, really pretty compelling and different, nice carbonation, soft wheaty feel, and all up a really good beer and a nice evolution of a style that has stagnated a bit in recent years. i appreciate this one.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 fl oz can on May 6, 2018. The original juicy IPA blended with an oak-aged sour. A tart, juicy and delightful Dank Juice. Meh.

This beer pours a lighter golden color, semi murky. The head is 2 finger, white, frothy, and just a slight lacing on the glass. Retention is average.
The nose is quite citrusy. Grapefruit, pineapple, are on the nose. Quite pleasing.
Taste - is very grapefruit and pineapple. It tastes like a blend of the 2 juices. The flavor does linger in my throat.
Feel is very full bodied, and the hops do linger in my throat.
Damn delicious offering from Odd Side. Tasty, and easy drinking, but it does pack a punch.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 3/22/2018. Pours lightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, white wine, citrus peel/zest, oak, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of pepper, pine, oaken vanilla, musty/lacto funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/acidic yeast, oak, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, white wine, citrus peel/zest, oak, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of pepper, pine, oaken vanilla, musty/lacto funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Mild pine/zesty/grassy bitterness, lactic tartness, and yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, white wine, citrus peel/zest, oak, wheat, cracker, white bread, light vanilla/funk, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/acidic yeast, oak, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/tartness balance, and zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/tartness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, fairly acidic, and lightly sticky/tannic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is an excellent blended IPA/Sour! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/acidic yeast, oak, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mildly tart/bitter finish. Great soft mouthfeel as expected, not overly lactic or drying. Really great balance between juicy hops and Brett/Lacto complexity; nice bready malt backbone and solid oak presence. A very enjoyable offering. They did a very impressive job on the blending. Pretty much perfect balance between NEIPA and sour character.
