A - Pours a very dark brown with a thin tan head. Light amount of soapy lacing.

S - Aroma is maple, chocolate, marshmallow and rye.

T - The taste is maple, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, oak and a spicy rye kick in the finish.

M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a soft slick finish.

O - Another really solid barrel aged stout from Odd Side.

Canned on 2/22/21.Pours into a snifter jet black,no light getting thru,a thinner mocha colored head atop.A chocolate tootsie roll mixed with toasted oak aroma with a slight amount of booze.Toasty with fudge-chocolate flavors abound, the maple really shows more as I drink more but never gets cloying, there is a faint nuttines that lends to its dryness. It's thick and smooth with out being syrupy and overly coating,a masterpiece of a beer.

Canned 2-22-21.

Beautiful looking stout with great head retention & lacing layers all over the glass.

Bacony maple with loads of chocolate & vanilla sweetness blended together. Bourbon is light. Dry oak and spicy rye start in the finish. Rich & sweet beverage for sure.

Not a hinting of booze. Thinner texture but still creamy yet infinitely drinkable as no booze is detected at all. Still gotta sip it slowly because it’s that sweet which helps remind you to drink slower.

Have wanted to try this for a long time. Now it happened & a fresh can to boot! Nice stout by Odd sides as usual it’s great.

Canned on 2/22/21: “Imperial stout with maple syrup, coffee, and bacon aged in rye whiskey barrels, and aged again on medium toasted oak spirals.”

Not nearly as dark as I expected, this one has quite a bit of brownness and ruby edged highlights. One finger of head was tan, but fizzled out fast. Better retention pls. Smell is sweet and a bit boozy with hints of licorice and mace, Not terribly enticing, but there are some notes in there that hint at great things. The flavor knocks my socks off with sweet cocoa, maple, coffee, and no sign of the booze whatsoever. Mouthfeel is pleasantly warm, maybe the most pleasantly warm beer I’ve ever had. Literally no downside or harshness or breathiness to this warmth. Funny feeling like I’m drinking Dr. Pepper here, lol. Super enjoyable sipper. Not sure why there’s such a disconnect between the aroma and the flavor. Oh well, if it smelled better and had better head retention this one would be darn near perfect.
