Served in a 5oz taster glass at Odd Side Ales 6/18/11. Thanks to the killer and HeatherAnn for the assist!
A: Served a hazy, glowing ruby red. A tiny white head sits on top for most of the glass and left a suprising amount of lace on the glass.
S: Hints of balsamic and oaky tannins. Tart dark fruit and unripe berries.
T: Whoa! Killer flavors of oak, red wine, vinegar, and berries. There was also an underlying layer of spicy cherry pie filling.
M: Ever so slightly sweet with a mouth coating oaken dryness that finishes up with a bit of spice.
O: I was totally taken aback by how good this was. I'd say they nailed this one.
