Pleasantly surprised by this one considering the reviews here. Tried this one on tap at Odd Side Ales. Nice dark amber color with a little head and some spotty lingering lacing. Smells of piney hops and caramel. Tastes similarly, along with some herbal hops, caramel, brown sugar and malt. I was pleasantly surprised by the well balanced hop flavor. Smooth mild mouthfeel, good amount of carbonation.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a semi-hazy mahogany color with a sly transparency about it. Ample white foamy head fell off at a decent pace. Slight lace. The aroma had some dried earthy to grassy hops blending with a nice toffee/caramel malt base. Light butterscotch. Touch of leather. Slight bitter piney-ness at the end. The flavor moderately leaned to the malty crisp dried sweet side. Crisp malty aftertaste and finish. The palate was just a touch under medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Overall, I didn’t mind this as an amber ale, did the trick for me.

Appearance: a deep orange with good clarity. Not much in the way of a head when I got it.
Smell: sweet caramel malts and citra hops.
Taste: a blended combination of the sweet malts and the juicier hops. Sweet and on the boarder of too sweet. Needs some bitter to balance
Mouthfeel: nice and drinkable. Needs some bitterness
Overall: a good beer. Not exactly my favorite malt/hop combo but different and different and drinkable beer
