"More precious than gold. Rhodium brings together the artistry of brewing and wine making with a culinary infusion. Golden colored with excellent clarity made with locally grown grain, Muscat grapes and honey with a hint of saffron. A peace maker for the beer drinkers and chardonnay drinkers to come together for a common cause. Off dry. 8.9% ABV, 9 IBU."
Pours a mild fizzy creamy almost 1 finger head that fades at a med pace, light lacing, crystal clear pale yellow color.
Nose brings a ton of fresh honey, floral sweet honey, with mild vinous white wine grapes, and a little fruity apple blossom, maybe just a hint of golden malt but even that's pushing it.
Taste starts with a yeasty flavor, yeast adding some strange characters minerality etc, but that disappears quickly as honey takes over again, not super sweet, a bit sweet with big honey, apple blossom fruity like flavors again mix with the mild vinous musty grape notes, not really very musty actually, a fruity white wine, crisp notes, and some chardonnay later with a touch of oak, and herbal note as well. Again no real beer character other than maybe a hint of golden malts. Finish is a bit sticky, sweet still, lingering honey and fruity white wine with a little oaked chardonnay.
Mouth is med bod, little syrupy and sticky, decent carb.
Overall it's not a bad beverage, but hardly a beer at all, more honey and white wine than anything, beer is practically nonexistent.
