From the description in the Nashoba Valley store:
This refreshingly dry golden ale is modeled after the rustic farmhouse ales of Belgium, which were originally brewed in the 19th century to be served to the farmhands as a safe, thirst quenching alternative to water.
We use 3 different malts and a unique yeast strain cultured from a famous farmhouse brewery in Belgium to create an ae with a white wine like nose and flavors of citrus, black pepper and bubblegum.
Malts: Pilsner, Vienna, Spelt
Hops: Mt. Hood and Hallertauer Hersbrucker
Yeast: Belgian Saison
ABV: 6.9% IBU: 32
My notes:
Modest starting head that leaves ring lace after each sip. The broth is cloudy with a green-yellow color.
The nose is classic saison: earthy with a lemon citrus aroma.
This is a tart beer with a mild pepper bite. The aftertaste is a puckering experience. There's a type of plastic to the tongue. This is a spritzy and thin bodied beer.
