Poured on tap into pint glass at boards n brew in san clemente. Pours a hazy straw gold with a thin head. Good lacing on glass with an aggressive hop resin smell. Decently balanced taste and mouth feel. Could use some additional carbonation.

Type: 16-oz. draft
Glass: Clear pint glass
From: Hooley’s in La Mesa (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $6.44
Purchased: Nov. 24, 2015
Consumed: Nov. 24, 2015
Misc.: N/A
Poured a golden, pale, clear color with two fingers of off-white head when I got it, taking into account the dark scenery. Some bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Good, spiderweb lacing on the sides of the glass. Average-to-above average retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled a plethora of hops up front, including Mosaic, resin, tropical, Nugget, floral and Citra. Also got tangerine rind and orange blossom, reminding me of the original Alpine Duet. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted similar to the nose with Mosaic and resin hops dominating, followed by Nugget hops, earthy tropical rind, Citra zest, light floral hops, bitter mango rind and bitter grapefruit peel. (Taste - 4.00)
Light body. Thin-to-oily texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt, earthy, bitter finish. (Feel - 3.50)
This was a very good beer, but not good as I hoped it would be. Could have been a lot better. (Overall - 4.00)
