Draft at Hops and Bottles. Golden pour, soft, foamy head. Soft malty, grainy aroma. Tadte brings in a small layer of hops, for bitterness and a bit of dryness.

gorgeous can art on this new hazy ipa from these guys, it jumped right off the shelf, way more appealing visually than their normal package aesthetic to me. i love the beer too, its a very modern ipa, not overly hazy but definitely at least unfiltered, still glowing gold in the glass under a full inch of excited white head that leaves nice lace clinging to the edges of the globe as i drink this. its got a great mix of hops that show up in the aroma and the flavor in more or less equal proportions. cashmere, el dorado, mosaic, and citra, but its the cashmere and el dorado that lead, making this somewhat unique. strong notes of lemongrass and tangerine, white grape and saltwater taffy, heady weed and preserved lemons, its mouthwatering and also very robust. there is no greenness at all in the taste, a very strong melon presence from the hops, drippy and ripe, and some obvious citrus too. maybe a little of that cat pee side of mosaic, but it works with the other hops in here very well. the grain side is light and simple, fresh barley without any real sweetness or weight to it, great carbonation, neat palate coating oily hops left on the swallow, a nice texture and a very drinkable beer overall. cashmere is getting super popular now, but im a huge fan, and this is a nice showcase of it, and it shares the load with the el dorado really nicely. juicy and fresh and very well made, among the best beers ive had from mother earth so far, my wife even loves it, and this is rarely her style!

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England IPA
Glass: Melvin 14-oz. Spiegelau IPA glass
Price: $3.49
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Dec. 1, 2019
Consumed: Dec. 7, 2019
Misc.: Canned on Nov. 15, 2019
Picked this up at Windmill Farms along with four other beers for a Sunday rating, but never ended up getting to them because of work. Instead, waited until the weekend to get after them. It’s been forever since I’ve reviewed a Mother Beer (in fact, posted on Jan. 22, 2016), but this one sounded legit. Can description called it a, “Hazy IPA brewed with Cashmere, El Dorado, Mosaic and Citra.” Still new to Cashmere, but very familiar with the others.
Poured a gold-to-light amber semi-clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass at different speeds. Good watery lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled big notes of Mosaic, El Dorado and Citra. Also floral, blueberry, melon, stone fruit, passion fruit, lemon, lime, dish soap, juicy peach and hints of pear. More of the same from the can with Citra and Mosaic coming through the most. Excellent on the nose. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste followed the nose for the most part. In order got Mosaic, El Dorado, Citra, floral, blueberry, stone fruit, passion fruit, melon, lemon, lime, dish soap, peach and hints of pear. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Wow. Just a terrific beer. Probably overrated overall. (Overall - 4.25)
