Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: Milk / Sweet Stout
Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. snifter glass
Price: $2.99
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Sept. 21, 2022
Consumed: Sept. 22, 2022
Misc.: Canned on Aug. 1, 2022 at 7:31 a.m. MT (I think MT)
Went to Windmill Farms specifically for Dino Park, a collab between Toppling Goliath and North Park. Unfortunately it wasn’t there so instead I bought 12 singles and a 6-pack of Aurora Hoppyalis. Untappd description was “Our signature dark ale is the best part of waking up. Opaque in appearance, but with a marshmallow softness, we use specially chosen roasted malts to impart a non-astringent, darkness that laces the glass and your mouth from the first sip. Accentuated by the use of Vanilla, lactose, and a heavy dose of oats, this big-bodied stout further impresses by finishing with a rich coffee aroma.”
I poured this bad for a nitro (forgot to shake can three times), but poured a pitch black color with 2-to-3 fingers of khaki frothy lacing. Calm, serene setting underneath the head. Excellent uneven foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled milk chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, marshmallow, dark coffee, hazelnut, roasty malts, caramel, toffee and soft serve twist ice cream. Almost as good from the can. (Smell - 4.50)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose but still excellent. In order got milk chocolate, cocoa, dark coffee, vanilla, marshmallow, hazelnut, roasty malts, caramel, toffee, soft-serve twist ice cream and chocolate cream pie. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Soft carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 5.00)
This was an awesome beer. So glad I picked up a can but I want to get some more ASAP. (Overall - 4.25)

Look: Straight pour from a pint can refrigerated temperature. Smooth creamy dark pour with a slight head on the top. The head is taking a long time to dissolve.
Smell: Smelling dominant aromas of coffee. Slight aromas of chocolate, little if any malts. Reminds me of purchasing a latte from starbucks.
Taste: Creamy sensation of coffee and chocolate with a slight taste of vanilla. Wow!!!!!!! This is so good! This tastes JUST like a milk latte bought at a coffee shop. big notes of coffee and malts. Slight chocolate, heavy milky taste.
Feel: No carbonation at all, the nitro eliminates this and does a very good job of this. Creamy and smooth, you cannot taste the alcohol at all. So good!
Overall: This was a very good buy, this is such a great drink that makes you feel like you're drinking a milky chocolatey latte. Buy this beer!
