Impressive layers of fruit and floral aromas precede rich pineapple and stonefruit flavors, compliments of the hot new hop variety BRU-1. Light in appearance and designed for ultimate smoothness.

Picked up a can of this on a recent trip to Windmill Farms along with a bunch of other stuff. A description on BevMo for this beer read “Impressive layers of fruit and floral aromas precede rich pineapple and stonefruit flavors, compliments of the hot new hop variety BRU-1. Light in appearance and designed for ultimate smoothness.”

Poured a light golden color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Could see lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)

Smelled peach blossom, floral, stone fruit, papaya, grapefruit, pineapple, melon and some spice. Smelled a little better out of the can. (Smell - 3.75)

Tasted about as good as the nose, maybe just a tad below. In order got pineapple, grapefruit, peach blossom, floral, stone fruit, papaya, strawberry, melon, grass and some lingering spice. (Taste - 3.75)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.50)

This was very good overall. (Overall - 3.75)

another righteous new hazy from this project x series they do, a series my father in law and i probably look forward to as much as anything else happening in idaho. they have all been so different and so good, and this one slaps hard too. less dense looking than a lot of them, no real sediment in it just a light haziness, a high white head and a pale brass colored brew emerge from the tap. the nose immediately hits me as unique, i think some citra hops for sure, but beyond that its less familiar, a sweet and oily weed thing, candied orange peel, green melon, and even something like not quite ripe nectarine, fruity but not the same old stuff everyone else is using. the flavor agrees, drippy ripe citrus and melon, could be some el dorado hops in this doing that, mandarin orange from the can (the best), and slight green apple too, just delicious and cool with such a minimal ferment and simple grain base, nothing overengineered about this, its just ipa, but they did a great job with the recipe and the execution and the hop profile makes it stand out from the crowd, which is tough to do in this style, so nice work once again to mother earth on that. probably the best series of beer being made in idaho, i absolutely love these, and this latest one is fire. real drinkable, robust, and repeatable.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Hazy yellow pour, thin cap of white head. Light fruity aroma, citrus. Taste is soft and fruity, zesty, bready malts. Really enjoyable.

16oz can; hazy bright golden pour with ample creamy head; floral notes of melon, berries, pineapple and grapefruit - moderately pungent and pithy. Good stuff.
