Extra pale ale in appearance and a familiar flavor & aroma combo reminiscent of dank cannabis, ruby red grapefruit, and be read grapefruit and tropical fruit but with a modern twist, thanks to Strata, Talus and Nelson hops. This is the pinnacle of old meets new. Brewed with our friends Revision Brewing Company.

Picked up a can of this while grabbing some stuff to take to Blue Mountain Lake. Untappd description was “Extra pale ale in appearance and a familiar flavor & aroma combo reminiscent of dank cannabis, ruby red grapefruit, and be read grapefruit and tropical fruit but with a modern twist, thanks to Strata, Talus and Nelson hops. Poured a medium yellow clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky white head. Could see a lot of bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass, kind of looking like a snow globe. Excellent uneven foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Was digging the smell. In order got Talus (love you), red grapefruit, stone fruit, coconut, oak, Strata, weed, grass, tangerine, Nelson and pineapple. Got better each whiff. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted about as good as the nose. In order got Talus (love you), red grapefruit, stone fruit, coconut, oak, Strata, dank weed, grass, tangerine, Nelson, papaya and pineapple. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Just an excellent West Coast IPA. Glad I picked up a can. (Overall - 4.25)

definitely the first thing not a strong ale i can recall from this series, a neat choice, and cool they did an ipa with revision, arguably the two best hoppy beer makers in the region. this is clear and refined, somewhat of a surprise from both of them, but it is absolutely wonderful. strata, talus, and nelson hops pop this right off for me. a pretty sunny golden colored brew with nice shine and a lasting near full inch of white head. smells like pineapple, bruleed pear, white lifesaver candy, lemongrass, and grapey sativa, super sexy, and most of what i can smell i can also taste, pineapple forward with a light berry note now, fresh flowers, key limes, and just a little sweetness, this is off dry but i like how it extends the hops through the swallow, no issues there, seems intentional. i love the way it warms up too, and i even love the way it smells on my shorts and shirt after i dump half of a pint on myself. slightly sticky and piney at temperature, a honey note to the grain but otherwise simple there, and clean on the ferment, these guys really did a nice job with this, and its sneak strong, drinks way too easy to be north of 7% abv. truly top quality stuff here, unbeatable on tap at the downtown mother earth right now! neat change of pace for the series but i am all about this one!

I haven't followed this quarterly series that closely, but this is the first IPA I can remember that they've brewed for it. Interesting to also see that its a collaboration with Revision, who I think share a lot of similarities with their IPA program. Clear golden pour from a two-week-old can. Lots of fruity dankness on the nose, with a good dose of some lemon/lime cedar/pine as well. Along with mild touch of caramel shines through to showcase a nice malt backbone, the flavors really lean into the new school fruity/dank character with some resiny notes as well as grapefruit, very clean and drinkable.
