Amarillo — bright orange peel, soft floral character, and a little sweet melon
Citra — classic grapefruit, lime zest, and big tropical aromatics
Mosaic — blueberry, resin, pineapple, and that deep “berry-tropical” thing Mosaic is famous for
Nelson Sauvin — white grape, gooseberry, and a vinous, almost sauvignon-blanc edge
Those four together create a really saturated, modern hazy profile: juicy citrus, lush tropical fruit, soft grape and berry, a rounded, pillowy finish. We pushed the dry hop hard, aimed for a soft texture, and kept the bitterness low so the hop expression could shine without getting harsh. The end result is layered and bright, but still super drinkable — exactly what we aim for with the Project X Series

canned 12/11/25, consumed from a tall pilsner glass 8 weeks later. Opaque yellow like grapefruit juice, no visible solids. 1 finger medium density white foam of decent duration. Some attractive lacing. Taste of apricot dominates, low bitterness, low carbonation, quite heavy body/ almost creamy mouthfeel. I like this one a lot.

On tap at Groundswell Brewing, a brewer that became a regional taphouse. Good bitterness backup. Idaho we (Mother Earth went) go.hazy but not too palate erase.

T - Berry, citrus, light tropical fruit, a little bit of spice, and ends more on the sweeter side with some light pine bitterness buried underneath.
M - Full pillowy soft and chewy body.
O - A solid IPA!

the newest project x beer, a banger again, back to hop flavors, not terpene spikes and the like, this is really fresh and good, should be, just dropped, bright pink cans are hard to miss, worth seeking out, as good a hazy as you will find in idaho right now. quite murky, not dull or gloopy or messy at all, but pretty dense, nice frothed up white head though, and lots of life to keep it moving when i drink it. the nose is killer, i smell nelson hops straight away, white wine grape, kumquat, melon rind, fresh as heck, with some pineapple and coconut cream notes in support, seemingly very low bitterness, and with a now familiar grain base in this series, oats likely, off dry and with a cereal note, but not malty in the classic sense really at all, and the flavor follows the nose, verdant hops with notes of mowed fairway and key lime, with lemon curd and white peach right there with it, a touch of middle sweetness to me but not really from malt, almost like a dextrose thing, not sugary per se, but in a candied way that kind of enhances the hop fruitiness, we have seen this in other beers in this series. the nelson is the most obvious to me, very white winey, especially late, bitterness stays low, hints of green gooseberry and dole pineapple juice round it out, dried than it is earlier, smooth and long, hearty and fruity at the same time, slightly filling, this could benefit from being a tad lighter overall, drop a little grain out, ease the body, maybe put this in the high 6% abv range, all of that would make a four pack of this a perfect dose, but one or two cans now would be approaching enough i would think. i like this one a lot, excited to drink more of it, nice mix of hops, maybe not the most unique of these, but its darn good.
edit: awesomely, this is seemingly getting better with time, a few months in the beer fridge has cleaned it up a little, lighter and somehow cooler in body, still punchy and fruity on the hops in tighter and quicker now, maybe a tad drier too, i liked it brand new but i think i like it even more now, which is rarely the case with the hoppy stuff, so props to this for its longevity. love this series!
