12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 1/31/2018. Pours fairly hazy medium golden yellow color with a small dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lime, citrus zest, green tea, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and light herbal/grassy earthiness. A bit fruity/yeasty, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of lime zest, green tea, pale malt, and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lime, citrus zest, green tea, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and light herbal/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal/grassy/zesty bitterness and citrus tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of lime, citrus zest, green tea, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of lime zest, green tea, pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly clean on lager flavors, not too fruity/yeasty. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/zest bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a pretty nice fruit/spiced pale lager. All around good robustness and balance of lime zest, green tea, pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful for the ABV. Not as smooth/refreshing as I hoped for, but well balanced between all flavors. A nicely enjoyable offering.
