Appearance: The pint arrived looking hazy bronze in color with a spotty surface head.
Smell: The aroma was dull as some caramel and roasted tones were barley detectable even with my nose next to the liquid surface.
Taste: the flavor was of roasted malts, caramel, sweet dark fruits, decent bitterness, and hints of alcohol. But for some reason it just didn't seem well balanced in my opinion, as I expected more malt tones up front.
Mouthfeel: smooth at the start and finish, and the roasted malt lingers long on the tongue after swallowing. Medium-heavy in body.
Drinkability: Not overly impressed with this version of a doppelbock.
