Had on draft and had a bomber. Both were excellent. I will detail the draft.
A - Dark, dark brown. Thin head.
S - Sweet, raisins dominate the smell along with dates.
T - Sweet, with dates and raisins. No hops or bitterness. You do taste some alcohol near the end.
F - Thick
O - One of the better beers I have ever had.

Poured from 22 oz bomber into snifter.

A: Pours a deep purple tinted mahogany brown with two finger dense light tan head with decent retention but not much lacing.

S: Candy sugar and molasses, plums, raisins, dates, and figs. Some hints of Belgian yeast and a faint spicy note.

T: Big sweet dark fruit punch. Dates, raisin, plums, figs, and cherries. Alcohol is a bit apparent but it is so tasty that it can sneak up on you.

M: Medium body and nicely carbonated. Finish is clean and just a touch sweet.

O: An excellent quad. So proud of the work Straight to Ale has been doing lately!

A: This pours a very dark brown color, almost black. Smallish bubbles form a small head that dissipates shortly after the pour.

S: The smell is very sweet with lots of molasses, cherries and figs with a hint of spice. I can barely smell the alcohol. I will be honest this smells amazing I cant wait to take a sip.

T: There is the immediate wheat taste but its so sweet. I taste prunes, raisins and black cherries with a backing of caramel. The alcohol is completely masked by all the sweet flavors. This has a real earthy after taste and as I let the flavors linger I pick up on the spice I was getting from the nose. As much as I love Three Philosophers I can honestly say this has a much better taste.

M: This leaves a very nice film in your mouth but it isn't overly think. Could use a little more carbonation but overall it is very pleasant.

D: I love this Quad it is up there with some of the best. This is one of the best beers I have had out of Alabama and it sucks this is a limited brew. Straight to Ale should really consider making this part of their regular lineup because this has a lot of potential to become a world class Quad.
