Poured on draft at local bottle shop.
A: Potch black with 1-2 finger mocha head. Nice retention and some light lacing.
S: Roasted malts, bourbon, chocolate, and vanilla.
T: Follows the nose fairly closely. Very nice sipper.
M: Full bodied with an almost chewy texture. Alcohol is apparent but welcome.
O: Excellent stout. Just wish they would bottle it sometime.

On tap poured into a snifter.
Pours black with a very small strip of lacing that moves to the side of the glass and leaves no lacing.
On the nose I pick up hints of vanilla, oatmeal, and oak from the barrel. The alcohol definitely comes through and there's a roasted malt sweetness.
Flavor matches the smell. Oatmeal and vanilla come through at first and as the flavors progress the barrel really begins to take over the pallet. Very nice and very complex.
Mouthfeel is heavy. Very creamy and low carbonation. Really coats your mouth.
This is a very nice beer if you like BA stouts. The alcohol is definitely present so it's a sipper, but definitely worth a try.
