A classically brewed Rice Lager using a 50:50 ratio of rice and Australian malt. This is a clean and super easy drinking lager, light and refreshing with mild bitterness. Pours a clear light yellow with a tight white head. Perfect companion to modern Asian cuisine

Does its job well.
But the two code words on this brew's label are harder to get "Happiness" and "Good Fortune."
Golden Lotus is a delicacy to be drunk while eating delicacies... which has been my only happiness since 1/20.
Golden Lotus Looks clear and pale like its peers, but better is its fine and persistent lines of bubbles. Smells are only slightly above average because barley's complexity gets lost when rice is half the malt bill, unless the brewer is a master of the style. Tastes are well-balanced; just enough dryness in the finish to check the sweet malts. Medium-mouthed for a light style.
This was a near perfect pairing with a very subtle Vietnamese dish I had with lunch. It had no spices, onion or garlic and Golden Lotus filled in the blanks subtly. How does a brew do that ?
I'm liking this style more and more with the appropriate Asian foods.
