Lizard Ale, one of the Moab Brewery's flagship beers, has an identity crisis: I have seen it referred to as a cream ale, a light lager, and a light wheat ale. Here it is listed as an American pale ale (which it most definitely is not). I'm willing to set these confusions aside because it is the best of the beers that can be had in Moab--regardless of its style.
So, I knew I was getting something light and golden. It had a thin head, good carbonation, and a slightly fruity bouquet. It tastes of wet paper, popcorn, grass, and light fruit--a fine, drinkable mix for a cream ale (or whatever it is). The flavors are short and crisp, and the finish is both sweet and slightly dry.
Overall, this is a light, refreshing, and highly drinkable lighter ale. Given Utah's brewing laws, it is not surpising that a beer/style aimed at lower ABVs would be their best bet. Grab a pint or two of this after a day of biking in the desert.

Purchased at the brewpub: Pours out to a clear golden yellow with a white puffy head but resides down quickly and no real lace sticks. Light grassy nose with a hint of wheat sweetness. Taste is quite good, solid wheat flavors, sweet, with a light hop presense in the finish. Crisp and clean. Feel is in the light catagory, thinnish, but respectable for a light. A solid drinker for those hot weather days- a good quencher.
Note: I did try this on-tap as well while at the pub for lunch on my last day in Moab but decided to get a couple bottles of it to try later as it was one of the better light style beers of I've had so I was intregued to see how it might change once at home. It doesn't disappoint still. A decent lighter wheat/pale ale.

This golden colored light ale is very reminiscent of the recent addition to the Sam Adams label. A very buttery aroma introduces the same throughout the flavor. The finish is a bit bready with a light full bitterness. I am not a fan of light beers at all, but this wasn’t bad.
