Poured from a bomber into a snifter.

A: Pours a dark chocolate brown with a khaki head that settles down but maintains throughout and laces nicely.

S: Big, roasty notes are backed by bittersweet chocolate and spicy hops. A big beer in the nose.

T: Mild coffee and bittersweet chocolate come out first, with the acidic roast settling on the back end of the palate. The roasty notes back off and you're left with a pleasant chocolate and coffee taste.

M: Carbonation is lively on the tongue at first, but this is a smooth, hefty beer that glides easily across the palate and leaves a creaminess in the mouth.

O: A tasty, smooth, roasty stout that lives up to the Foreign/Export style and works quite well as a dessert beer.

Poured very dark brown, near black, with a good two finger brown head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is not too pronounced, but I poured closer to 40 degrees rather than the recommended 55 or warmer.

Taste is chocolate and sweet with a hint of bitterness. Overall, a very pleasing stout.

Appearance: poured light black; transparent while pouring. Instantly a couple inches of a light brown head which took a good few min to dissipate. Not much lacings around the glass.

Aroma: presents a coffee aroma mixed with creamer and also a bit of cola smell.

Taste: sweet chocolate with vanilla and sugar. I found it very malty with little bitterness at the finish. It's not complex but the flavors are bold and delicious.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied with a very smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Its kind of takes after a creamy milk stout on nitro.

Overall: It's a good beer and I strongly recommend it if you're living in Utah. But if you're in another state with a larger access to beer, you're probably okay with the many other export stout's available.

That thick tangible black that good stouts should be with a nice frothy half finger head that settles into a thick winter sweater of a cap. Beautiful lacing as well.

Nose is subtle burnt but creamy. This is just what I was looking for on this evening. Clean coffee and a hint of dark chocolate. Not sweet by any means, but creamy and approachable.

Flavour follows more of the chocolate and char with a sugar sweet note on the end. Some acidic coffee, but the char is first, the chocolate blended in and coffee further down. Really soft and rounded finish. While it flirts with the coffee acidity, it never fully commits, leaving it really easy to drink.

Smoothe and emminently drinkable. Appropriate carbonation that punctuates well without overwhelming.

I didn't really have any expectations going in for this beer, and am coming out impressed. Glad I grabbed it when I was in Moab.

Black colored beer with a medium sized brown colored head.

Smells of chocolate and coffee. Coconut and roasted grain with some patent malt scent.

Starts off mildly sweet with a mild chocolate and coffee flavor. Mild smoky flavor.. The taste doesn't change much from the initial flavor.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall an OK Stout.

Purchased at the time of the RR Younger release 2014. Poured into a snifter.

L: light tan, moderate foam, moderate carbonation, dark, but not dense. Minimal lacing. I can see light permeating the edges as I roll it around the glass.
S: Nothing prominent, light chocolate, burnt/roasted coffee mostly. More bitterness than malt. minimal alcohol burn.
F:Light all the way around.
O: IMO this is a light stout in most aspects, almost porterish. It is definitely in the lower spectrum for stout character. A blind test on this and I would have pegged it as a porter. Maybe it didn't age well. Good, but not great. Glad got to try it.
