Notes: Triple decocted pale lager, dry hopped with Polish Lubelski hops. Salem had a long history of Polish immigration, particularly the area around Notch, and the beer is named after our head brewer/founder Chris’ family (Lojko, from Warsaw Poland). We are a nation built on the backs of immigrants, cheers to us! Na Zdrowie!

Taste: Crisp, Bready, Earthy Hop

Clear golden amber body with a big white head and sheets of lacing in every direction. A lacing champ! Smell stars the pale hops with notes of lemon and grass, complimented by lager yeast, a pinch black pepper, and earthy grain. Taste is hoppier with lemon and bready yeast leading, slight grass, dough, minor grain, and floral hops. Feel is lush and hoppy, full body, and smooth, with a very bitter finish. Definitely new world with those strong bitter hops

Pours yellow, completely clear. Minimal carbonation and lacing. The aroma is sweet, with grassy notes. The taste is also malt-dominant, with a floral hop taste. Finishes crisp and slightly sweet.

Canned 7/20/2023.

I’ll be honest, I’m not really sure how a Polish Lager differs from a a general Pale Lager, but I trust that Notch knows the difference. It doesn’t matter if I can tell or not. That being said, I do hope it has something that sets it apart. Let’s crack it open and find out

Pours a clear pale gold with 2 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves decent lacing

The Polish hops definitely seem to add more of a floral vibe than usual. I’m up on aromas of floral hops, bready malt, wildflower honey, black pepper, orange zest, and light toasted grain

The hops absolutely sing up front in this one, then the grain takes over a bit on the finish but still leaves a nice hop note. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting black pepper, herbal hops, pale malt, lemon zest, cereal grain, and light grass. The swallow brings notes of cereal grain, lemon zest, floral hops, honey, black pepper, and crackery malt

A light medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a crisp and bitter beer. Finishes bone dry yet mostly balanced

This one is just straight uo crushable, something I could kill a 4 pack of on a summer day. Notch should keep it up with the Polish beers

Pours a frothy fizzy 2 finger head with moderate retention, a bit of lacing, very clear light pale color

Nose big straw cereal pilsner malt, some corn notes, straw, doughy malt, complex possibly decocted, fair to light herbal floral hops

Taste brings more cereal grain, plenty of pilsner malts with plenty of straw, complex layered decoction mash, doughy bready malt, fair herbal floral hops, med light bitterness, big noble hop floral flavor and a little grassy, getting to a med hop bitterness and a tad spicy on the dry finish,

Mouth is med bod, very soft lager, med carb

Overall very nice, a great noble pilsner lager kinda thing, I guess Polish just because of the hop source, but great either way

Poured from a 16 oz can dated :born on 6/1/22, BB 10/1/22.
A - Pours a beautiful golden straw color, excellent clarity, with steady carbonation. Loose knit white froth caps the offering.
During the experience lacing is tight and layered with each pull.
S - Floral up front, spring lavander, peach blossom, Azaleas, some cereal grain elements weave there way in.
T - The grain is stronger although delicate, here, then waves of that lovely floral hops ride through, there is an earthy part that moves on through as well.
M - Lite on the palate, delightfully dry, crisp, start is right in the sweet spot of bitterness, That theme carries through with a delightful linger.
O - A really pleasant beer, that floral aspect is something, body and texture are wonderful

Pours clear, gold in color with one half inch head. Taste is cereal, earthy hops, and grain. Light bodied, sweet, with low carbonation. Surprised with how bitter this is. Makes it feel like a fuller beer. Between the Polish beers, I like the Grodiski, but this is good.

Pours a pure pale golden. A little milky Czech yeast on the aroma. Maybe some noble hop character. There's fresh bread. It's sweet. There's some terrific floral hop character to it without any spice or earthiness. There's a finesse to it. It is a lot of things but most of all, it's delicious.
