Pours an amber hue, like that clear bottle maple syrup from a place that calls itself a farm in your nearest maple reserve. Some floral hop character and malt sweetness on the nose. A friend said this was like good Boston Lager and it is. It's less hoppy or herbaceous than fresh Boston Lager but it has a lot of toasty malt sweetness that differentiates and elevates it above other Vienna offerings. It's dry, well attenuated, so there isn't that funky sweetness that can stand in the way of drinkability. An excellent Vienna lager.
