Cask, beer engine, Deep Ellum, Boston, Massachusetts, 4/9/18
A - Cascading pour, creamy head, mahogany dark brown body, once settled no activity
S - Black tea, wet wood, faint metallic
T - soft notes of toasted bread, raisin, light toffee
M - beer engine makes this super creamy, super sessionable
O - a tremendous example of the OG session ale.

Had this at the bbc on cask in Walpole.
A - dark brown with a bit of red. The head was a bit off white. Leaves a nice off white lacing.
S- A bit of malt and bit sweet. Not a lot going on here. A little molasses.
T - A bit sweet and a little malty. A hint of molasses and chocolate.
M- very light beer and a bit chewy. Very little carbonation feel. Almost has a little bit of a watery feel.
D- very drinkable. Nice and light.
O- this beer was okay. Nothing really special. Very mild.

on cask at redbones 5/19/2011
A - a nice dark brown almost black with a bubbly foamy white head that sits about a finger and a half deep. good head retention and good lacing.
S - its subtle but definite toasted malts and coffee in there. not bad but nothing all that amazing as far as the nose is concerned.
T - nice toasted malt taste to this. again there is a bit of coffee in there and some chocolate as well but they take a bit of a back seat. tasty and quite drinkable.
M - low carbonation super super light almost has a bit of a watery feel to it.
O - this is a good session beer. its qualities seem to hide from you at first but as you work your way down the pint it really seems to shine through.
