Our new Munich style Helles brewed in Salem and exclusively served at the Salem Tap Room and Biergarten. We are long time advocates of the decoction brewing process, but sometimes choose not to employ it when we have other goals for our beers. We never decocted helles, until now, as we wanted to explore the subtleties it can bring to the most subtle of beers. We gave Hexen Stadt a single but long decoction to promote a depth of flavor and interest to this summer time pleaser.

Poured from tap into a pint-ish glass at Salem location. Pours opaquish yellow with two plus finger of head; pillowy soft, slowly recedes with great lacing. A great helles style beer that goes down easy, soft, and gentle. Very nice!
