We used the recipe and process of the Standard and substituted the Czech base malt in the Standard to Sugar Creek Malt from Indiana. As this beer displays, local malt can certainly compete with the classics from Europe.

Pours golden, slightly hazy in a chill haze fashion. This was not on the LUKR as they had 4 other beers on LUKR at the moment. It is a little less hoppy feeling and a little more bread forward than The Standard. Less hoppy, less spicy. Some more lime notes. I think it does suffer from not being served on LUKR so maybe not the best comparison on its own, but pretty solid in its own right.
