Pinnacle ESB is the cask-conditioned version of Mt. Hoods Cloudcap Amber Ale. It is dark bronze, has no discernable aroma, and is served with a smart, fluffy head. It has a casual bitterness and a gentle mouthfeel. In fact, the body almost comes across as watery, though in my view, this temperate property only enhances the drinkability.
Pinnacle is a highly evolved beer in that it is very clean and dignified with a delicate, almost frail flavor. It is suited to refined tastes.
