L- Mid/dark amber, very cloudy. Pours with vast carbonation and head. 5 mins after finally *finishing* the pour (also took 5-10mins) the head is still c5Cm of pillowy pale tan foam. Be cautious also, it's bottle refermented and the sludge lifts easily at the end of the pour.
S- Maybe the beer is beneath too much foam but I don't sense much smell, certainly nothing distinct/ID'able.
T- It's quite pungent (rich/deep stewed and reduced fruits?). Plus a balancing hoppy side and a slight liquor-ish sense of it's ABV%.
F- Pungent, rich, balanced hopping, leaving no doubt this is a pretty big-hitter of a tripel.
O- I like it, it's not OTT in any of the multiple facets I mention above, and I also note zero here that I object to, taste etc-wise.
Bloody challenging to pour, but very drinkable, it's richness might better suit colder months, plus if I bought again I'd give this longer in the fridge to properly chill through and do it justice.
330ml bottle BB: Nov-2021. Bought from BelgiumInABox (Antwerp/BE) for home delivery to me in London/UK.
Suggestion: Chilled and well rested, prising the cap v slowly released a huuuge amount of CO2 - I suggest taking it slowly in case that is the norm, as foam rapidly forming in the neck would have flown! ps after 5-10mins of slow prising I held it over a sink and popped it off. Foam spilled out; not much, BUT be cautious and patient with it.
