Poured at just warmer than fridge temp. Pours a nice medium to dark brown, with loads of fluffy tan head. Tons of lacing. The nose is excellent. Dark bread, prunes, raisins, rich malts, and some burnt toffee.
The taste nicely follows the nose. Super malty. Slightly spicy. Dark malts, slight black licorice, molasses, and dark fruit. Lovely beer.

L- Extremely deep chestnut-red. Almost clear, pours with 2mm pale tan head.
S- It has a piquant edge, either a bright cocoa or deep fruit and perhaps a liquor note too.
T- Definitely deep pungent stewed fruits (x-ref British Xmas pudding) with a clear but polite brush of ABV% zing across the palate. It has appropriate hopping too, bringing balance.
F- Deep, quite rich but solid ABV% brings balance. It's in winter-warmer territory. One for slow sipping. Carbonation is not high (for me) but I believe that's entirely right for the style; higher ABV%s seem to retain their heads less anyway.
O- I like it, and more than a good proportion of Belgian Bruins I've had that can tend to being outright sweet. Would I drink it again? Certainly.
Bought from BelgiumInABox in Antwerp/BE for home delivery to me in London/UK. 330ml bottle. BB: [!!?] of 'C, J, 2022' < no idea!
