Poured a clear, dark-amber colour.
Had a slight earthy smell with hints of cereal malts. Very minimal aromas.
Had a mild sweetness throughout the taste, with a slight bitterness from the hops at the end. Medium-bodied and sessionable.
Would I buy it again? Probably.

On draught at Black Sheep, Dublin.
Loose tan head over dark gold. 3.75
Lots of honey on the nose and a bit of shortbread. 3.75
Toasted grain, peach on granary bread, then spicy noble hops. 4
Winter spice finish and long grassy bitter linger.
Chewy, almost medium, sticky. 4
No head but trails well; big body - to style; orchard fruit as it opens and no heat. The thing about this one, though, is significant IBUs and ever-growing hop spice as it warms - to the point where it's not so much malt-forward. Still nice enough to drink fast enough to get a headache, if that's any measure. 4
