Copenhagen 25/5 2022. 35,5 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. On the can we are on the moon with orange moon rocks and a shining, silver Earth hovering.

Pours unclear, pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is moderately intense with alight sweet, fruity odor mingling with stronger citric scents. Whiff of sweet peach and blood orange. Lemon and lime.

Medium strong carbornation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness with a sour twist. Aftertaste is a bit thin. Sourishly bitter. Finish is rather dry.

Nice sour twist but bit thin.

# 2 of my 2024 Beer Advent Calendar!

A- Pours a very hazy yellow golden hazed color and is mainly opaque in clarity. The head is white for the most part, solid foam that is at minimum one finger in thickness, and settles slowly into a very thick ring and layer over top the liquid. The lacing is good as well, with a nice layer coating the inside of the glass....an overall decent looking IPA!

S- Nice citrus rind aromas are completely upfront, with bready/yeasty malts, cleansing hop bitterness and a grainy grassy smell that helps balance everything out. Pretty basic as far as IPAs go as far as Im concerned.

T- This is actually quite sweet to be honest, with a sweet orange juice/ five alive theme happening here. There is some subtle hop bitterness that helps quench the palate, however, the flavors are very juicy, juice like and not very much like I envisioned for this style. There is some grainy yeast character blended in and really is more malty than i would have expected. Overall a flavorful, if not underwhelming IPA on the palate.

M/O- I will say the carbonation is smooth and the body is medium. This is a relatively drinkable IPA and the juiciness provides a quenching mouthfeel that allows for one to enjoy more than one of these in a sitting.....definitely the best area of rating for this one. While it is not an offending brew by any means, I would drink it again, but I would not seek this one out either.

From a can BB date 7/22 in a tulip glass.
Citrusy flavor is more like bitter orange peel---- a little tang but not crisp. Not overwhelming, but not a positive. Astringency overwhelms any malt flavor that might be found at 5% ABV.
Color is yellow with a hint of gray, not sparkling.
Aroma is generic juicy, not especially bright or specific or identifiable.
Overall, dull but drinkable.

On-tap not long after landing in SLC for the first time. Didn’t know it was a NEIPA, which I only enjoy when I’m in the Northeast bc most West Coast versions seem forced and forgettable. I’d say this is one of them but it’s also pretty tasty and easy drinking, smooth yet hoppy, and goes well with the food I’m enjoying. Not bad!

12 oz can from the grocery store. Pours cloudy straw color with a small white head. Aroma: dank hops, citrus, bread yeast. Taste: citrus and dank hops. Pretty good for a 5% NEIPA.

A 5% ABV IPA, eh Epic? Just need the marketing push from calling your pale ale an IPA, I guess...

Aroma brings peanut butter, though I'm not sure why.

Floral and spicy hop profile. Pale malt and pils malt backbone. It's balanced but lacks the hop pungency a proper IPA would have. Indeed, even something like Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale has more hop flavour than this does (or Elysian's Space Dust, if one must compare this pale-ale-dressed-up-as-an-IPA to an{other} IPA).

Drinkable but forgettable. Another mediocre hum-ho entry in the most oversaturated style out there.
