Sampled at Cigar City Brewing’s El Catador Club XV bottle share party from a 22 oz bomber.
Across the experience, this lower ABV Epic Brewing stout offering was plain and unremarkable. The malt bill offers a Cream of Wheat flavor, accented by, yes, raisins. Liquid Raisin Bran, if that’s your jam.,. It’s thin yet syrupy.
Overall, nice to get a hit, glad I don’t have 5 more in the cave.

draught
Medium low level of very light brown head. Rather viscous and oily lacing, as the head recedes. Very dark and nearly black, opaque look to it, with a tiny bit of detectable chestnut and some auburn. Really subtle, dark roasted grain, toffee and a touch of alcohol, for the smell. A sweet and light viscosity, in the opening mouthfeel. A very slight malt syrup sweetness, mixing with a very dark roasted grain flavor, which creates a pleasant little hint of a bite and finishes with a caramel tinged, heavy roasted grain flavor, with smoothness.
