another banger in this impressive series, some of epics best beers live here. this is way more ginger than lemongrass, but both are certainly in the mix. the base beer is a little less strikingly sour to me than some of the others have been, golden, slightly hazy, a little dense, and without a ton of head or carbonation, but i dont really miss it, its on the dry side for what it is, and with the drying acidity might move too fast through its trip with super high carbonation. the nose is woody and sour, a little acetic, but white wine, pineapple, and light saison esters are present as well. the ginger has some spiciness to it but also a candied note to me, white pepper, green banana, and zested lemon are also present, really nice. the flavor has the lemongrass first, muddled and oily and fresh, more malt in the middle than this looks like it should have, but i dont mind, it kind of soaks up some of the acid and keeps this drinkable, the ginger is mostly on the back end, some funk and spice to it, earthy and kind of at a juiced intensity, raw and candied notes at the same time, bold, and with some linger as the rest of the beer fades fast on the swallow. unique in the ferment even though its really sour, maybe not that fresh anymore, but the lemongrass and ginger both are enhanced by it, and they of course go great together. clever beer, a great continuation of this exciting series!

12.7 oz bottle, release #16. Pours clear yellow gold with a small white head. Aroma: funk, lemon , a little malt. Taste: sour lemon, a little ginger, cracker. Ginger aftertaste. Great mouth feel, just enough carbonation to keep it lively. The ginger is subtle and that's a good thing. Excellent sour.

Clearly fluid white gold with minimal head.
Dang it's like lemon-lime supreme, prickly and sour, with a hint of funk and a huge punch of nasal cleansing ginger.
