from the pint can, on the edge of being a double, but to me this is so fresh, so bright, so modern, and so drinkable, that the alcohol is almost irrelevant and its more just a bold ipa to me, the terpene or thiol or whatever this is from the hops is epic, whether it be just an early fermentation dry hop which the name suggests, or something else, but the label also says natural flavors, which has me suspicious of this being all hops, but either way its money, nothing like it in the game at all right now. to me its definitely weedy, even weed derived, pineapple notes sure, even yellow tomato vine pollen or whatever it is that gets all over my forearms when i garden, also it hints at dried mango and apricot, dandelion and sunflower, and a bunch of raw honey and fruit nectar and danky intensity, bold but not because its heavy or grainy or boozy, its just a lot of hops and terpene type intensity, maybe cryo, maybe another new school product, but the nose and taste hit similarly, herbal yes, but also like that special herb, sticky buds, sweet orange and orange taffy, pollen and resin, wonderful and potent, but not because of alcohol. the grain is fully inconsequential to my experience with this, the ferment is brisk and fast for the style, and the hops just linger, more weedy as it warms, but honey too, so good. i loved this, every drop, and reckon it needs to be getting a bit more attention, this is borderline mind blown contemporary ipa, relevant anywhere right now, i need more! absolutely not to be missed if you want to see where the style is really at in the summer of 2023!
