1 PINT can
Served in a snifter
This beer pours black and is topped with less than an inch of mocha head that leaves nice lacing.
Great caramel aroma. Reminds me of those caramel chews. I get some chocolate as well.
Chocolate, cocoa, caramel flavors
Full bodied with a soft, pillowy, creamy mouthfeel
Good beer. Great mouthfeel

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque in the glass with a one finger dark khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate and vanilla. Flavor is dark toasted malt, salted caramel, dark chocolate, whiskey and a touch of oaky vanilla. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess. Another fine BBB variant. The salted caramel flavor is authentic and not dominating, allowing quality chocolate and whiskey to shine too. It may be the salt tempering things, but this was not as sweet as I expected; moderate sweetness but fortunately not a "confectioner's delight" as described. I really like this series and this a good one.

16oz can with a numerical code that isn't quite legible. Opened 8-31-24.
1/4" sand colored head with limited retention, falls to a ring and sparse cap. Dark brown body. Spotty lacing.
Vanilla, milk chocolate, whiskey in the aroma. Cigar box, pipe tobacco.
Flavors of pipe tobacco, vanilla...somewhat artificial.
Medium body, somewhat astringent, with a bitter, sweet, and lingering finish...too much for my taste.
Okay to Good.

Poured from a 16 ounce undated can into a snifter.
Look- Black, opaque, medium brown frothy head, large visible particulate at the edges, above average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Cacao, caramel, very slight whiskey, smells mildly artificial, between medium and high strength of scent.
Taste- Whiskey, cacao, caramel, mildly salty finish, highly boozy, high strength of flavor.
Feel- Between thin and medium body, average carbonation, highly bitter, moderately mouth warming, mildly salty mouth watering finish.
Overall- The artificial caramel flavoring really covered up the whiskey in the bouquet, but could not contain it in the flavor. The flavor was very pleasant, but still had a mildly artificial feel. This beer provided a nice drinking experience, but was not worth the cost.

4 ounce taster, sitting elbows up, at the brewery in Salt Lake City, UT.
Delivered cold & flat. Had to palm warm it for a few.
Aroma of that good BBB; there’s chocolate, coffee, and an added extra scoop of sweet medium roast malt.
Taste is chocolate covered coffee bean. Bam! The ‘caramel’ is present in the aftertastes.,. it got more pronounced as the brew warmed. Searched for Sea Salt, but I think they tricked me.,.
Mouthfeel is left of medium, rather thin even. Medium carbonation.
Overall, this is a good novelty variant of BBBaptist.,. but it’s getting to the point of, ‘why bother’?

Pours an effervescent chestnut/mahogany with one finger of mocha colored head. Nice lacing & near average head retention
S: Caramel, vanilla, a touch of booze; getting some artificial scents in this
T: Follows the nose, but the booze is more front & center, carob & coffee notes, barrel meanness/rawness as well up front. Plenty of Caramel, some vanilla, sea salt & dark chocolate with boozy edge as this beer warms up, barrel dryness too. Finishes uber sweet with a little coffee, plus barrel warmth & smack
MF: Medium body, fairly firm carbonation, pretty warming. Gets chewier as this warms up
Had the potential for greatness, some of the flavors seemed somewhat forced, not totally natural or in balance. Better once near room temperature
Drank pretty well for the style & heft, but a sipper for sure. Headed towards my sweet tooth wheel hose, just hits some curbs on the way

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid imperial pours a jet
black with a nice head of khaki foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin
dusty layer, and displays some nice light lacing. Nose of dark chocolate,
caramel, whiskey, and light sea salt that are a touch muted but present.
Flavors pack it in with dark chocolate, subtle coffee, whiskey, faint oak,
sea salt, caramel, moderate char, and subtle smoke. Mouth feel is full,
smooth, rich, lightly coating, warming, light carbonation, and a bitter
malt finish.
Overall, a solid brew and a nice addition to the BBB series.
Cheers

I knew this would be good just from the price tag. $13.99/can. Ouch. Usually I get out a bigger yardstick for such pricey brews, but I think I was fair on this. It's a great brew, and to try to judge its value is silly.
It pours thickly black and beautiful with fine head. It looks expensive! The aroma is huge - it has profound smells. The sweetness hits you most, though, with all kinds of nuance coming through later. Caramel, chocolate, whiskey and roasty stout malts all combine to make a pleasurable treat. It is clear while drinking that you have a boozy drink, but it has so much flavor that it is hard to sip slowly.
Recommended. I think I've had a few others from this lilne and I can't imagine them ever disappointing. The price of admission is high, though.

Pours darkest brown with only a bit of carbonation and a bubbly but thin layer of foam. Aroma is not clear to me; some slight chocolate and some slight caramel is present but it is not certain or clear. Taste is ABV forward with caramel being about the only profile present. Still and all, drinkable and not too bad.
