Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a , lightly fizzy, very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a quarter finger khaki head that dissipates to a thick film with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, Mexican chocolate with fresh cinnamon and light coffee; light earthiness. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light char, Mexican chocolate (lightly sweetened chocolate with cinnamon) and drip coffee; a mild tartness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Delivers on its promise, lots of chocolate, coffee and cinnamon; the chocolate does taste like slab Mexican chocolate. There is a slight tartness that made me think there could be whiskey barrel involved here, but that is not in the description. Although it tastes good now, the fizziness and tartness would cause me to drink this sooner than later. I'm slow to get to this one and it has held up fine so far. The dry, lightly sweet chocolate fits nicely with the coffee. Fairly two-note, but enjoyable.

This was one of my favorites of the BBB series. Seemed like there was some kind of key lime flavor, which is clearly not actually the case but that was my takeaway.
