A collaboration brew with Tool Shed Brewing co-fermented with Shiraz and Zinfandel grape must.
Appearance - Pours a honey colour with three fingers of bubbly foamy white head.
Smell - red wine aromas, oak, hint of tannins, earthy, spicy, and floral yeast, melon, lemon, citrus peel, dark berries, citrus, floral, and spicy hops, and biscuity malts.
Taste - red wine aromas, oak, and tannins upfront. The melon, dark berries, and citrus, floral, and spicy hops come through next. The melon, lemon, citrus peel, and earthy, spicy, and floral yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes off-dry with a slight tartness from the red wine elements.
Overall - A unique saison that takes a big leap from the traditional saison by adding bold vinous and oak flavours. This one is very flavourful and quite easy to drink. Well done for a first collab brew.
