A: The beer is clear deep yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that died down, leaving specks of bubbles on the surface and a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of spicy hops are present in the nose along with notes of pine resin and citrus. As the beer warms up, the pine subsides a little and the citrus becomes a bit stronger.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste starts off with spicy flavors of hops and has some notes of limes and hints of grassy hops and pine resin, the latter of which lingers into the finish. There is a light to moderate mount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is rather complex and has a lot of different aromas and flavors going on. It is something you can slowly sip and ponder.
Serving type: growler

snagged a bottle today whilst picking up atypical and some other new things that hit local distro. this is a tad aging at this point with the initial release on 1/2...a month and a week ago so this might be starting to fade but it is still tasty. the hop is more earthy. very good brand x no frills type of ipa. nose is fairly bright still with a nice citric pop and the taste is good w nice dense dankness but nothing like the NE ipas we have been getting used to...more like the impressive ipas from the NE about 5 years ago...but the ipa style has evolved into a juice bomb which this is not. this is a great classic ipa though with big candied hops.
