Keg. Almost black with a thick creamy head.
Understated aroma of toasted rye bread, cocoa and nuts.
The taste is more forceful with the addition of some dark fruit.
A rather watery feel is rescued by a smooth carbonation.

Pint (Keg) from Kelvingrove Café, Glasgow (£5.50):
While not exactly a bad tasting beer, this one was very bland & weak at times which made it extremely difficult to detect much of anything in the early going sadly. There was some basic roasted malts & a nutty flavours coming through on top of quite a smooth, creamy body but this wasn't enough to make it a good beer & I can't imagine it'd be one that I'd rush back to again.

Had in a flight of three with Murphy's Stout and Guinness Stout. I was surprised at how beautiful it tasted. It's my new favorite Stout.
Rich creamy head that you can write your name in. Fantastic mouth feel. Black as night. Yum

Nitro-tap at The Norseman, Dublin, Ireland

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a finger high creamy tan head that died down, leaving a short head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of dark malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of dark malts. No dryness is perceptible.
M: It feels light-bodied and rather smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout isn't that flavorful compared to some of the other beers in the style but is very easy to drink.

Oh! Game on

Close to almost black liquid

Carmel head, mild lace and good retention.

Aroma is of Patton malt, nutty, chocolate, and mocha.

The taste is really much betterr then the standard. This beer has a complexity not found in most. Nuts, chocolate, and medium roasted coffee.

Over all aust try and a would contender of this session style.

On draft at Against the Grain
Served in an unmarked pint glass

From notes.

A: Deep chocolate. Soft ¾ (mocha) fingernail head.

S: Roasted dark malt (nearly burnt) and chocolate dominate here. Hint of coffee.

T: Very roasty from the start. Coffee. Chocolate. Hint of toffee sweetness. Quite bitter though. Nearly taste a smidge like cardboard which is never a good thing.

M: Full bodied with smooth, soft, creamy carbonation.

O: An okay stout at best. The bitterness is a bit distracting and I think this keg might have been sitting around a bit too long.
