Pours a clear, very dark brown, almost black colour; as black as stouts can be. The smell is sweet, chocolate, hints of toffee and espresso, rich and clean; very aromatic and clean. The taste was sweet chocolate, followed by vanilla, oak barrels, and whiskey; it phases into coffee, with a slight bitterness at the end, and an aftertaste of Jameson. Extremely balanced and drinkable.

Appearance: As black as night with a mocha coloured persistent head. Tight nitrogen produced bubbles.
Aroma: An inviting aromatic blend of oak, milk chocolate with a gentle whiskey tone holding everything together.
Taste: Full bodied. A blend of milk chocolate, vanilla, oak and caramel. The ageing in Jameson barrels rounds out the bitterness and adds a unique flavour profile.

Bottle. Fancy swingtop. Pours dark brown. Not quote black. Almost no head. Nose was oddly very musty and devoid of much barrel character. Roast, basement, dark sweetness. The flavor is noticeably better. The Jameson barrel, albeit soft, is at least noticeable. Dark malt, roast, slight smoke. A bit of dark fruit. Maybe some soy sauce. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Not great.

Viscous jet black with tan film that instantly trails.
Rum raisin, cigar and fig on the nose.
Char, black tea, black currant, and oaky hit and earthy Fuggle-y hops.
Vanilla and kipper finish and dry boozy linger.
Lt-med, some cling, surprisingly dry.
Aged 100 days in Jameson casks. Bottle 621 of 2000.
Tough to put a style on this one: too strong for Dry Irish, not big or hoppy enough for American Imperial, and not sweet enough for RIS/FES. English is the best bad fit...
Thin and ashy - needs more body and more time. No depth to the smoke and the oak seems painted on. Not up to being in this size bottle.
