From the half liter bottle, it pours a nice light yellow-golden color with a modest white head that slowly reduces. The nose gets some nice malt scents with a touch of spice, followed by the mouth getting a lightly bitter malty brew with pleasant mouthfeel and a light bitter aftertaste.

De Bierothek. En copa de hefe de Weihenstephandef. Jugando a Sea of Stars. Helles algo áspera y con cierto dejé vegetal. No la llega a estropear pero hace que no quede entre los mejores exponentes del estilo

Brauerei & Gasthof Drei Kronen "Lotte"
,5L brown glass bottle, notched "Mindestens haltbar bis: 6 1 18" and sampled on 22.9.17

Look: Clear golden body beneath a full head of creamy white foam. Very good head retention and lacing.
Smell: Floral hops and grainy malt.
Taste: As suggested by the aroma. A very firm bitterness balances it and it finishes dry with some lingering floral and very lightly grassy hops.
Feel: Medium to medium-light in body and gently crisp then smooth across the tongue.
Overall: A very well-made and superbly balanced helles.

Their most quaffable offering with a nice balance of crackery malt and grassy hops. Of course we are in Bavaria and therefore the malt dominates the hops in particular in this modern hop driven beerworld. The yeast is not visible is not visible in this almost clear beer but the taste and feel clearly showcase its unfiltered nature. Also as the beer warms up a fruitiness like banana emerges. Great example of Franconian brewpub (Braugasthof) Kellerbier.
