Appearance: Arrives slightly hazy with an amber hue; splashy lacing

Smell: Toffee malts and herbal, piney hops

Taste: A hint of toffee but the hops take over quickly, and not in a good way; there is a bandaid character along with an herbaceous, piney aspect that lingers into the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Not sure what is going on here but this beer was a disappointment

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 1 pint 6 fl oz bottle on March 2, 2018. Brewed with Citra hops. I was hoping for a cleaner malt bill that would allow for more Citra hop flavors to come through. Very nice body and feel though.

7oz pour to shaker, hazy yellow, good lacing. Light pine nose. Taste is a crushable, mildly bitter, and somewhat fruity ale. Lighter body and average carbonation. Could drink a lot of this.

Saturated bright orange, sharp clarity and a steady rising plume of carbonation.
Thick chunky lacing around the edges and long lasting surface coverage.

Aroma is floral and vegetal, no advertised Citra elements.
Taste is similarly floral and bitterly vegetal, malt has a tiny bit of buttered biscuit flavor.
Honeyed malt and resiny hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Light bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall it's not a bad beer, just don't call it a Citra pale ale.

Picked this up two weeks back and opened this evening. This is a solid beer but I was looking for more of what one usually expects from a beer w citra hops. It just seemed to be lacking in that juicy in your face quality found in other citra beers

650ml bottle. Served in a snifter glass. Pours a clear golden body, darker copper hue, one finger thick white head, good retention, bits of lacing. Smell has a bit of wet grain, cereal, touch of grapefruit, more of a bitter citrus peel to it. A little astringent, a bit of citrus flesh as it warms up. Flavour is similar; a bit of wet bread flavour to it, bitter citrus zest, a bit of mineral, slightly sticky with a touch of fruity esters. Mouthfeel is medium, a bit thin, but otherwise a solidly drinkable pale ale. I just had a fresh Zombie Dust yesterday and this isn't close to being on that same level.

Poured 22oz bottle into snifter. Color is a medium amber with 2 full fingers frothy head that leaves webs of soapy lacing on my glass. Aroma citrusy grapefruit, piney hops backed by sweet, thick caramel malt. Taste is a huge citrus juice/grapefruit peel and pine bitters. Some toasty buttered breadiness, tropical fruitness in the background. Huge hop bite and bitterness from start through aftertaste that intensifies from mid-sip into initial aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, juciy throughout, finishes smooth. Really nice Citra APA that is reminiscent of Zombie Dust.

A pleasant pale ale that does a pretty nice job of showcasing the Citra hop profile. Not in your face, but balanced to make this a very sessionable beer. Very good.

Very nice example of a Citra dry-hopped IPA.

Body holds up well and bittering hop combo does a good job of propping up the later Citra additions.

Doesn't take the sensitive turn of a pseudoSue-style APA- instead commits to being a fully malted, fully hopped IPA.

This is so freakin good. As good as any IPA out there. I hope God continually bestows his blessings upon the gentleman from Wisconsin who keeps my cellar stocked with the bountiful fruits of Black Husky Brewing. I could drink this stuff all day.

Golden haze in appearance, liquid gold in the mouth. Smells of passion fruit, citrus, and happiness. Taste follows the nose with a lingering refreshing feel that I've seldom found outside of Trillium. Easily one of my favor beers of all time, and, in my opinion, one of the top 5 beers brewed in Wisconsin.
