a - poured a one finger thick fizzy, off-white head into a tulip glass that left a thin ring. the body was a ruddy orange-brown color.
s - yeasty with some citrus orange peel.
t - sweet and fruity with a hint of tart.
m - medium and slick.
o - not a big fan of this beer. it was ugly and didn't do much for me.

Poured with an enticing apple juice color effervescence and a great smell - I got hits of nectarines, faint orange, maybe pear, maybe a little rhubarb and a hint of rose petals. I was a little underimpressed with the taste after that nice whiff as it tasted a little too tangy for me. The mouthfeel was refreshing on a warm summer's day. I would probably have another one and definitely recommend it out of a snifter or something that can highlight the scents.

Looks great with a dark, hazy amber orange pour. Lots of richness floating around. The head is typical white, a finger and half thick, with moderate retention.

Appealing pear and pepper nose with tangy yeast. Fruity, citrusy scents come wafting from the glass.

Pear, green grape, peppery yeast and a smidge of alcohol are the dominant flavors, all presenting at different times.

Complex with sweet, citrus/acid, spicy pepper, and funky Belgian farmhouse yeast strains. Medium bodied. A little heat at the end. Tart finish as well.

This is another good beer from Hof Ten Dormaal. I've only had their Christmas beers, but I've liked the ones I've had. Classic Belgian Saison and it hits the marks pretty well. A good sipper for the style, easy to drink.

(Served in a tulip glass)
A- This beer pours a dense hazy golden yellow with a sticky snow white head of cream that grips the glass with each sip. There is a gentle carbonation that glides to the surface.

S- The big bubblegum weizen yeast ester blend in with some malt hints in the finish as the beer opens.

T- The nice weizen yeast esters take on a soft peppery hop hint in the finish. The yeast takes on a more earthy quality as the beer warms and some flinty notes. The fresh pale malt flavor comes through with some nice lemony hops and dry coriander flavor in the finish.

M- The creamy mouthfeel finishes with a tight little fizz and no alcohol heat is noticed.

O- This is a nice winter beer that is still very drinkable with an interesting yeast profile and some smooth depth of flavor that really grows as it opens.

A: The beer is clear golden yellow in color and has some amber hues along with a moderate amount of carbonation. It becomes cloudy and brownish yellow towards the bottom of the bottle as the yeast starts mixing in. It poured with a finger and a half high dense off white head that has excellent retention properties and consistently left a thin dense head covering the surface..
S: The smell has light to moderate earthy and musty aromas of yeast.
T: Like the smell, the taste is earthy and has flavors of yeast along with some notes of rose petals towards the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is an interesting variation of the style and makes for a nice easy drinking saison during the winter months, particularly when you are looking for something a bit stronger to warm you up. It wasn't as carbonated compared to other beers I have had from this brewery, but I aged this bottle for over a year.
