MARCH 2026.
A "one-shot" beer celebrating "TipoPils Day 2026," which took place globally (Europe, China, and the USA) on March 12, 2026.
This is a Pilsner double-dry-hopped with noble German Hersbrucker hops, the first recipe from this brewery founded in 1996, using the FIRST recipe conceived by Master Brewer Agostino Arioli about thirty years ago (1996).
On tap from the pub's steel keg (€5 for a 33cl glass).
Upon pouring, it releases herbaceous and slightly earthy aromas (typical of continental noble hops), not very aromatic.
It has a beautiful, clean golden color and is almost completely clear.
A good head of head and visible effervescent carbonation within.
On the palate, the beer is medium-bodied, yet extremely drinkable, thanks in part to the aforementioned lively carbonation.
The first flavor that immediately came to mind was that of breadstick: bread crust (not burnt) and a crunchy sensation.
Letting the beer cool a bit in the glass, light hints of wild grass and hints of bark emerge, but overall, the bread-baked flavor (again, for me, decidedly breadstick-baked) dominates the taste.
I didn't detect any honeyed or marzipan overtones, but the drink flows quickly along the aforementioned notes, before a dry but not bitter finish, with a delicate and refreshing herbaceous profile on the tongue, almost entirely absorbed by the bread-baked aromas that echo on the palate.
A clean, highly drinkable beer with a classic flavor that makes its smoothness and balance its strengths.
