BONEYARD BREWERY – Hop The Wheelie - IPA
Pours with a golden amber color. The flavor is a blend of star fruit, radish ,pineapple and some water melon rind. You can taste the high alcohol flavor over the big body of the beer. Its good but not my thing.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, caramel and pine. Sweet tropical fruit taste with a toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

really nice one here, distinctive too, wish we knew what the hops were in it. lighter than orange but darker than yellow from the tap, a little chill haze on it and an average white head that leaves pretty lace as it drinks down. the aroma is impressively fresh, beyond what seems like oily citra hops, the rest of what i smell is pretty unique, hints of mango and papaya, light grassiness and even peppery spice for a flash, and then heady buds, a neat combination of hop profiles for sure, pale and simple grain base, relatively clean ferment. the flavor is cool because the hops start real early, danky weed up front giving way to sweet orange, floral honey, and green tea in the middle, finally followed by spruce, gin, and model glue. just the slightest richness to the grain keeps it balanced, the finish has some bitterness to it but not overly intense, and what stands out more than anything is the unique and complex hop trajectory, but also how drinkable this somehow remains, bold as it is. not their most intense beer, but it still has that boneyard signature to me. really tasty stuff, glad to be seeing more from them in the idaho market these days, especially on draft!

12oz can from Craft Brewers. Clear golden pour, small foamy head slowly dissipates. Dank, resinous aroma, overripe fruit. Taste is sweet blend of citrus and tropical fruity flavors, oily hops behind. Hoppy little MF.

12oz can, just arrived in this market I believe, so relatively fresh. Pours out an attractive gold with some cloudiness, white head. Earthy citrus fruity with a decent malt backbone on the nose, bright and floral. Balanced but still hoppy, orange and pine, caramel and grapefruit, lemon, grass, marmalade, hop bitterness, smooth body. Good stuff.

Clear yellow-amber brew with plenty of foam in the Wander snifter. Pleasinglyly slushy and spritzy mouthfeel. Hugely aromatic with what must be a massive dose of hops. Notes of grapefruit and even a touch of honeysuckle. Rather funky-- I must say!
A touch of malty sweetness with a sharp edge. Flavors of citrus peel, dankness, and a resiny aftertaste. Dark and dry finish. Moderate bitterness with a touch of pencil shavings. It's what I call brambly and leafy. From the 12 oz can purchased at the beer store. Dated 06/30/2021.
