12 oz can from a 6 pack bought from Westside Taphouse in West Salem OR.
Pours a clear golden body..with a largish rocky/frothy off white head.
Strong citrus and pine aromas here..lemon rind, marmalade oranges and young pine forest.
Taste the same yet balanced..even a nice bit of the old Oregon dank in there!. Nice beer
Mouth feel is medium , carbonation medium low..slight bitter after taste.
A really nice IPA..old style yet tropical and topical!!!

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Gold Session. Aroma is malty and resiny with orange rind and dank hop notes. Taste is citrusy and dry with bitter grapefruit pith flavor and lingering bitterness on the finish.

Bought a 1/2 growler at New Seasons in Portland.
I'm no fan of hazy IPAs...it is utter BS. But I wanted to try the newest Boneyard IPA.

Forget the hazy (although my score tanks this beer on that measure) . Close your eyes, and this is otherwise a good beer.
Hoppy, dank, sticky, very good. Not the "juicy" BS.
CTZ, Apollo, Summit, Cascades. It works.

Cloudy, golden orange color. Foamy head with lots of lacing. Aroma is light citrus and fruit, herbal and grain notes. Flavor is similar, tangerine and dank herb, melon and bread. Very smooth, but still juicy and slightly resinous. It could be a hoppy APA considering the lower ABV and feel. A decent beer overall.

Pours a slightly cloudy orange/ golden color with a finger length of head that lasts.

Has a fruity smell to it. Orange mostly, pear also.

Taste is orange peel, grainy with a slight bitter after taste that fades away in a few seconds. Pretty smooth overall.

Overall- a 3.85 has a smooth taste that I look for in a ipa along with a good flavor but not great.

Note- beer abv was 7% not 6.3% as shown

From a crowler, and current version says 7.1% This is a perfect blend of old skool and new school IPA. Copper color, pine, melon, and tropical aromas and a juicy flavor, with a surprisingly clean feel and finish. I could drink this all day every day! Cheers!

3-18. Revisit from tap shows a much brighter yellow with a very impressive white head that sticks from top to bottom.

Similar aromas with a pronounced dank finish that follows in the flavor.

Still wonderfully crisp and clean, with a long lasting bitter and piney finish.

Yup. Could still drink this anytime, anywhere. Cheers!

Almost medium, almost creamy, smooth. 4

Just. So. Tasty! Impressive thing is how it’s aroma-forward and juicy without being sharp; rounded and sweet. Boneyard are a notch above. 4.25

Almost clear orange with two fingers of white head. Lasts about five minutes and leaves plentiful lace.
Smell is tropical fruit dank herbs. I get a little bready malt also.
Taste is tropical fruit orange mango dank herbs and bready malts.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. Finish is dry and bitter.
Overall another fine one from Boneyard Brewing.
The website says 50 IBUs and 7.0% abv. Cheers!

Not retired, I just drank some of this Saturday.

Light orange, thin white head. Good tropical fruit aromatics with citrus ganja dankiness.

Another very light body for boneyard, not as dry as some others, but it packs a phenomenal amount of fruitiness into a beer with little bitterness. We're talkin' 50 ibus here. Malt bill so light, drinks like a normal pale ale, but the hop flavor explosion will make you think IPA.

Excellent stuff.

A clear orange with a dense, white head with excellent retention and lacing, this looks great. The nose is all about citrusy hops. Bright, row, sweet oranges, spicy orange peel, Tang, some pine and weed. Pungent. The palate opens bitter, mildly resiny with plenty of citrus flavors. Orange peel bitterness, ripe orange sweetness and fruitiness. Great stuff. Malt character is minimal, this is dominated by the hops. A touch of medicinal, almost aspirin like bitterness that is two steps from astringent is present on the finish. Light in body, moderately carbonated, this is quite an excellent IPA

32 oz. growler poured into a pint glass.

Appearance - Clear golden orange body. Medium white head.

Smell - Citrus hops. Grapefruit. Orange. Caramel malt is strong.

Taste - Balanced citrus hop and caramel malt. Not heavy, but has a substantial sweetness. Medium bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Medium body. Maybe a touch lighter. Easy to drink.

Overall - Standard well made IPA. Flavorful and easy to drink.

SN IPA Glass

Hazy golden orange with a foamy, off white head.

Big citrusy, tropical fruit notes, light malt sweetness.

Medium body, mild foamy carbonation.

Another extremely well done IPA from the folks at Boneyard.

Light Amber coloring. Small amount of lacing. Smell of citrus and pine.

Fruity citrus taste with a distinct but mild bitterness on the finish. Nose is better than the taste in this one in my opinion.

Overall, very solid and I would definitely drink again. More like an APA though IMO.

It's IPA's like this that truly make you realize that Boneyard is a master of IPA's. On tap at the Tap and Growler the other the day, Ridiculously affordable... purchased during happy hour for $3.50 for an imperial pint!

The beer pours a golden amber color with impeccable head retention and lacing (this beer looks great). The nose is all hoppy, NW IPA goodness, with considerable citrus and just enough light sweet malt to keep it all in check. The flavor profile replicates the nose, but there's a light tropical fruit flavor in this beer that is very, very attractive. You can definitely tell that the abv. isn't over the top in this delicious beer, which is another bonus as far as I'm concerned.. Mouthfeel is light, crisp and very clean, with the alcohol nearly unnoticeable. This beer finishes with a kiss of hoppy bitterness, with the beer very well balanced. Drinkability is exceptional in this beer... this is the sort of IPA you feel like you could pound all afternoon long.

For me, this is much better than the RPM, which I've become increasingly unimpressed with over the past year. Very nice effort from Boneyard.

Since this is the first beer I've added to the BA database, figure I should give it my best effort at a legitimate review. From a 32oz growler filled 12/27/14 at the brewery/taproom. At the taproom I was told this is the first release of this beer on tap. When asked how it's different from RPM, the gal told me it is a single malt IPA brewed with pale malt. Pour from the growler a week later was fresh as the day I sampled it. Poured into a spiegelau IPA glass.

A: pale gold with 3 finger frothy white head. Lively clear golden color with a firey character. No cloudiness. Nice head retention and lacing
N: strong floral, citrus hop character much like other boneyard IPAs. Tangerine, mango?
T: orange peel, grapefruit, floral, hint of pine, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness, light malt profile. Hides the abv well. Hint of peppery spice on the finish.
M: light body, moderate carbonation (especially from week old growler), crisp
O: exactly what I've come to expect from Boneyard. Another world class IPA to add to their lineup. I really enjoyed this beer and thought the hops really shined. I hope to see more of this on tap outside of the brewery taproom.

Let it be known
